Learning Trajectories for Historical Thinking

This site is dedicated to the dissemination of research and resources related to our project, ""Unlocking Historical Thinking: Leveraging Library of Congress Digital Archives to Develop Learning Trajectories" (funded by the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources Consortium Grant)

The goals of this project:

  1. Develop, implement and refine teaching and assessment materials aligned with a learning trajectories (LTs) framework for teaching history.
  2. Model an action research approach to improving the teaching of history.
  3. Design and deliver high quality, research informed professional development for history teachers.
  4. Disseminate our project findings, resources, and best practices to empower history teachers in the U.S. and around the world.
