Teaching Algebra Chapter 2-Planning and Teaching Algebra with Technology
While many students enjoy using technology in and out of school, we know that technology alone will not improve student motivation, interest, and success in mathematics. Rather technology is one component to consider when thinking carefully about planning, implementing, and assessing mathematics lessons. In this chapter, we will consider different ways to evaluate technology tools and activities and use video clips of students working on a task while using technology to analyze students mathematical thinking.
This chapter could be used alongside two Modules within the Examining Students’ Practices (ESP) in Algebra and Function:
