PARTNERSHIP

The participants in this project are grant recipients of the North Carolina Science Museums Grant Program. They represent a broad range of informal science educators from across the state of North Carolina  – rural and metropolitan, coastal and western, small institutions and large, etc. Their geographical distribution and swathe of expertise in pedagogy and scientific topics make them excellent candidates to participate in this project.

The North Carolina Science Museums Grant Program – part of the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) and administered by the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences – provides operational funding to eligible non-profit science centers and STEM learning organizations across the state. Through a competitive application process, the grant program funds botanical gardens, nature centers, children’s museums, natural history museums, and other organizations whose missions support science or STEM education.
