His conservation social science research focuses on promoting sustainable human-environment interactions (via environmental education and other mechanisms) and fostering healthy relationships between\u00a0people, parks, and nature.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charles Yelton<\/strong> (charles.yelton@naturalsciences.org<\/a>) When not spending time outdoors with his two children, Charles works to provide quality science education to citizens throughout North Carolina as the NC Museum of Natural Sciences\u2019 Regional Network Chief. He currently oversees operations at the Museum\u2019s Prairie Ridge Ecostation, Regional Branch locations in rural North Carolina, and the NC Science Museums Grant Program serving 56 museums throughout the State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Darrell D. Stover (darrell.stover@naturalsciences.org<\/a>) is Head of the NC Science Museums Grant Program at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. He also is on the faculty of the Interdisciplinary Studies department at North Carolina State University. He is a poet, cultural historian and science communicator who embraces both the sciences and humanities. He is a avid birder and naturalist with a license plate that reads “SCIPOET.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her research interests concern diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion in informal science education. She was a science teacher for nearly 20 years before returning to grad school. Her research interests are understanding the impacts of informal Environmental Education on communities and especially children from underprivileged, disadvantaged communities. She is interested in learning to use different assessment methodologies to analyze these impacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
