Hunt, Martin to present preliminary results of FAACT student-centered fraction intervention \"\"in\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span>Shanghai July 2021<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/b>Dr. Hunt and her colleague, Kristi Martin, will present preliminary results of the FAACT project student centered fraction intervention at the International Conference on Mathematics Education in Shanghai, China in mid-July 2021. We are so excited to share beginning evidence of how our intervention supported students to build multiplicative notions of fractions as numbers.\u00a0 More news closer to the event!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Hunt, Lynch to present award-winning differentiation work at National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Hunt and her colleagues, Dr. Sararose Lynch (Westminster College) will present their work, “Productive Struggle for All: Differentiated Instruction\u201d published in the January\/February 2018 issue of\u00a0Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School, <\/i>at the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics, in Chicago (March 30 – April 1). Please join us!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Hunt to present at the Centennial NCTM Annual Meeting in Chicago<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The FAACT project will share collaborative work on teachers’ to write mathematics learning goals at the NCTM conference in Chicago. The work was done in collaboration with Dr. Mary Kay Stein at the University of Pittsburgh<\/span>. We will share a framework teachers can use to write, refine, and design instruction around learning goals to support and extend mathematics conceptions.\u00a0 Please join us!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"PMENA\"Dr. Hunt; Kristi Martin present at PME-NA in St. Louis<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two papers from our project work will be shared at the PME-NA conference in St. Louis. Kristi will share a case study from the third year of the project that illuminates the importance of transitioning from additive to multiplicative reasoning.\u00a0 Dr Hunt will present a case study from the second year of the project that portrays the student responsive learning and teaching we used to support a student with working memory differences.\u00a0 Please join us!<\/p>\n

FAACT Project represented at NCTM in Salt Lake City<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are happy to present with Dr Beth MacDonald from Utah State University at the regional meeting of the National\"\" Council of Teachers of Mathematics in Salt Lake City October 16 – 18. We will present on Universally Designed Talk Moves to support student discourse.\u00a0 We hope to see you there!<\/p>\n

Dr. Hunt works with AIR to tool Special Educators to use Clinical Interviews!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Hunt is happy to partner with Dr. Kathleen Pfanansteil at AIR to provide PD to her OSEP team on the clinical interview process.\u00a0 The goal is to provide resources and training to prepare special educators in this process.<\/p>\n
